Tangram Puzzle came from China, and come in the category of dissection puzzles. These consisted of seven flat shapes called “Tans”. The challenge is to put together specific pre-determined shapes, at times simple and at other times seem impossible to solve. The puzzle reached Europe along with traders and became immensely popular in the early 19th century. Till now, about 5,900 diagrams have been compiled, but according to mathematical estimates the number is finite.
