The movie does not have any of the protagonists from the original movie series. Even without Arnold Scwartzenneger and Signoney Weaver, this movie was all about the villainous creatures, getting better at each other. Set in Antarctica, the movie follows an expedition sponsored by a billionaire, who happens to be curious of a heat signal emanating from beneath the earth. The sequence of events make the predators come to the area and they start going on a killing spree. The powering up and the uncoiling of the pyramid wakes up an alien queen, that start laying eggs. The scene gets set for a pitched battle between Aliens & Predators.
